The original Centipede commercial for the Atari 2600 that I published is awesome. Of that their is no doubt. But this saxophone fueled commercial for Centipede on the Atari 2600 gives the original a run for its money with its “Club Centipede” wackiness. Boy, the 1980s were a great time to be alive!

Holy crap! I had that game, it was one of the few that worked great with the shitty non-centering controller the 5200 included. Still, I did end up getting a track-ball for it - but that’s because even in my teens I was a bit of a purist…. aka, sucker!

Without the trackball Centipede was not much of a game. I had a friend who had the trackball and it was so small it didn’t really feel right either. Centipede belongs in the smoke drenched back room of the local arcade.
