I just can’t help it. I still love Star Trek Voyager. It is by far the most underrated of all the Treks. Why is it so awesome?
- Perfect ensemble cast with breakout performances almost every episode.
- A master plot to die for…
- Vulcans, Klingons(half), Borg and living Hologram on the same ship.
- Voyager, with its sleek lines, is the coolest looking of all the Trek ships.
- Robert Picardo, Tim Russ, Garrett Wang, Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, Roxann Dawson, Robert Duncan McNeill, Ethan Phillips, Jeri Ryan and Jennifer Lien
Glad to get that out of my system.

Yeah, but there was the season where Paris and Janeway turned into slimy slugs and mated. This moment was the nadir of Trekdom.

I admit, that episode is a miss. But its a rare miss. Plus, although the story leaves something to be desired, the acting is solid. Which is impressive when the script is such a mess.

Voyager was appointment television for me — the only modern Trek that I rearranged my life around. Things headed downhill that season (4?), and after that episode, I was ready to find something else to do with my Wednesday nights. Fortunately, I stuck it out, because the show headed back uphill from there. There were some killer episodes to come.

I agree it hit a low point. I am not familiar enough with the writing history to know who fixed the show, but it definately picked up steam as it chugged towards the finale. I especially enjoyed stories involving the Doctor. He and Seven’s quest for identity wold have easily kept me glued to the set for another season or 2.
