I just watched the Producer’s cut of Halloween 6 and boy is it much better then the theatrical release. It restores Loomis to his proper place and is a lot less bloody. I guess when you have more story you don’t need as much gore. Huh, what a concept. Still not the greatest if the Halloween films, but gets one in the mood for the upcoming Halloween season. Read up on the Producers Cut and then go buy it.

H6 is the Halloween movie I’ve seen the least. Not by choice though, it’s just that when AMC shows the movies for their MonsterFest, they stop at part five, for some reason. I think I’ve only seen the original Curse twice, while not great, I thought it was okay, but I can’t remember much from it without reading up on it. The DC definitely sounds superior though.
It is so much better. If only because they restored Loomis to the film. Michael Meyers without Loomis is like Dracula without Van Helsing.
Now maybe if Michale Meyers met Abbot and Costello I could get behind a Halloween without the Loomis, but thats pie in the sky.
Have you read the Halloween Comics? They do a decent job of trying to explain the thorn cult and fill in the holes.
