Banana seats and stretch handlebars were part and parcel for the super cool 1970′s bicycle. Customization was super easy. A novelty license plate from Frosted Flakes, steamers on the handlebars and some sweet beads for the spokes so you could be heard coming from the 3 blocks away. Now your good to go. I loved these bikes even if they were difficult to peddle and weighed 800 pounds. Dig this mighty ad from the mid seventies.
